"Point your kids in the right direction—when they're old they won't be lost." (Prov. 22:6, MSG)
Getting our kids pointed in the right direction - toward God - is one of the most important things parents can do. If you've ever wanted some help or guidance, or if you want to encourage others as they navigate the challenges of parenting, come be a part of the new Mom2Mom ministry.
Mom2Mom is designed to encourage more experienced moms to help younger moms as they raise their children. Titus 2:4-5 says, in part, "These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good..." Our prayer is that moms will share wisdom, encouragement, and prayer as we raise Christ-centered sons and daughters.
Our Thursday morning play dates will begin in November; please be watching for further information. But in the meantime, we begin our "Second Saturdays" events. Our first one will be Saturday, September 12 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. We will talk about the direction of the group for the year, explore questions you have and scriptures about parenting, and pray together for our children and families. Anyone is invited to come, including non-Lakeshore friends or neighbors who may be interested.
